Dear Partner,
Genesis 1:26
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and
let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over
the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon
the earth."
Ephesians 5:1-2
"1Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2And
walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering
and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour."
II Corinthians 4:13
"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed,
and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;"
God's mode (method) of operation ("MO") is to say a thing and then do it. He has
made us in His image. Therefore we are to be imitators of God (Eph. 5:1). We are
to follow His "MO". Genesis chapter one clearly indicates how God made confession
with impending results.
My late wife's younger sister made a confession in January 2004. She stated that
she would enter a beauty contest to become Mrs. Senior Georgia. I don't believe that
anyone in the room believed her. Her husband looked up and turned away in unbelief. At
the time, she didn't look like a beauty contestant. Nevertheless, she entered the
beauty contest in July 2004. There were 18 contestants. However, only the first ten
would be recognized. She was not recognized. In the summer of 2005, she entered
again. This time, she was number two (runner-up) out of ten. In 2006, she entered
again. There were 17 contestants. This time, she won the contest. Her husband was
one of her greatest supporters throughout.
These two were the first in my late wife's family filled with the Holy Ghost. They
were instrumental in getting me and my family filled with the Holy Ghost. My sister-in-law's
goal is to help seniors find and focus on a purpose for living. She is a great witness
for Jesus.
There is an epidemic of people (not only seniors) not knowing what they are destined
to do. John 14:6 says "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." We are to know that Jesus is
to be incorporated in our lives 24/7. The Lord can and will empower us day by day
through our journey in life. However, He can and will put reference points in our
lives to press toward. It is God who puts the goals in our hearts. He will help
us bring them to pass. There may be set-backs, as it was with my sister-in-law. However
it did not stop her pursuit.
Luke 18:27
"And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of
peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
Proverbs 3:5-6
"5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine
own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct
thy paths."
I love you,
George Moss
