Dear Partner,
II Chronicles 7:14
"14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from
heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Job 32:1-8
"1So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous
in his own eyes. 2Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel
the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he
justified himself rather than God. 3Also against his three friends was
his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
4Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than
he. 5When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these
three men, then his wrath was kindled. 6And Elihu the son of Barachel
the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid,
and durst not shew you mine opinion. 7I said, Days should speak, and
multitude of years should teach wisdom. 8But there is a spirit in man:
and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding."
Job 33:4
"4The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty
hath given me life."
There is no country like our country. However, it still needs our prayers. We
are to be praying for the president and all that are in authority. Each of us have
a responsibility to grow and develop spiritually.
In the book of Job, Elihu was a young man who listened to Job and his counselors. He
finally addressed the counselors and Job. The role that Elihu played was the same as
the Son of God. He became a mediator between Job and God. Job 36:2, "2
Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf."
It was as if he were reintroducing Job to God. One of the first things he did for Job
was to identify pride in his life. Psalms 66:18 "18If I regard iniquity
in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." Pride was stopping Job from hearing from
God. It will stop any person from hearing from God. After Job humbled himself, God
began to instruct and teach him of His ways.
God rebuked his three counselors and had Job pray for them (Job 42:10). When he
did pray from them, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Nahum 1:7
"7The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth
them that trust in him."
Isaiah 26:3
"3Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee."
There seems to be fear all over the nation and the world. It is being talked over
the airways and in social circles. We have an answer to that. As a man thinks in his
heart, so is he. Our conversation is generally what we have been thinking or meditating
about. It is not that difficult to put the Lord in the midst of our circumstances (good
or bad) if our minds are already on Him.
There is one scripture that is a constant for me. It keeps giving more and more
revelation. Proverbs 3:5,6 "5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths."
I love you,
George Moss
