November 2005
Dear Partner,
Happy Thanksgiving!
I've been planning since September, to get some thoughts on paper about gratitude
(thankfulness) and relationships.
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ …
(II Corinthians 2:14)
I am thankful to God for Jesus; and all that he brings into the world and into my life.
I am thankful to God for a great country that allows individuals to worship God
and the gospel to be preached freely.
I am thankful to God for His daily grace and mercy; wisdom and power; health and strength.
I am thankful to God for family, friends and partners.
I am thankful to God for His faithfulness.
21This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his
compassions fail not. 23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
(Lamentations 3:21-23)
I am so thankful that He wants to be my friend.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
(John 15:14)
In order to become a friend with Jesus, our relationship must be strengthened.
He wants us to hear His voice and obey what He says. As it was with the children
of Israel.
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice,
and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that
I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. (Jeremiah 7:23)
He wanted them to obey His voice, as well as His written word.
In Genesis 1:26 God designed us in His image (the Trinity, the God head, Father,
Son and Holy Ghost). They are communicating one with another. Jesus' high priestly
prayer in John 17:22 states that we may be one, even as they are one. He has made
us spirit, soul and body. God will relate directly to our spirits. The Holy Ghost
will take what has been given to the spirit and make it understandable to the mind.
Jesus is the only member of the Godhead that took a body. He helps the body process
the information by "just doing it".
I am now in Salzburg, Austria. This morning around 3:00AM, I came back from ministering
at a place called Zwettl (near the Tschech border). My intention was to write this
newsletter immediately upon return, but I had to sleep for a couple of hours.
This is very mild in comparison to the week before coming here. There were many
small foxes trying to spoil the vine. I'll give you only one small example: Monday,
I put three suits in the cleaners, preparing for the trip. Tuesday, I discovered that
they had been shrunken. Wednesday, when I looked at the suits at the cleaners, they
looked as if someone had balled them up and prepared them for the garbage dump. The
same day I took them to another same named cleaners. He promised that he could let
them out. Thursday evening, (the day before I was scheduled to leave for Europe) I
picked up the suits. Later that evening, I decided to try them on before packing.
I found that the buttons were broken (two of the three buttons on the front of one
suit) all of the buttons on the sleeves were crushed on all suits. They were still
shrunken.
I called a friend and laughed aloud on the telephone.
My plane was one hour late from Dallas to Tulsa. It took me back to Dallas in
time for my flight to Zurich, Switzerland. However, we boarded the plane for Zurich
and eventually changed to another plane, because of mechanical problems. I arrived
in Zurich two and a half hours late.
When the meeting began, the glory of God fell. A 41 year old man testified that
he was healed last year at a meeting. He was born with chronic fatigue syndrome.
He was tired all day and could not sleep at night. He did not believe in healing.
The Lord convinced him, he says. Hallelujah! His wife is in bible school now. Last
night the pastors wife was so overcome by the anointing of God that she could not
stop crying. She said the Lord was dealing with her.
Praise the Lord! I believe God, that this will be the greatest holiday season, to
date, for you.
I love you,
George Moss
