Dear Partner,
John 14:15-17 AMP
“15If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands. 16And I will ask the Father,
and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that
He may remain with you forever-- 17The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to
its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives
with you [constantly] and will be in you.”
John 15:10-12, 26
“10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's
commandments, and abide in his love. 11These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in
you, and that your joy might be full. 12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have
loved you. 26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit
of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:”
John 16:13-15 AMP
“13But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the
Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell
whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and
declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. 14He will honor and glorify
Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to
you. 15Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit]
will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.”
The Spirit of Truth is come to lead, guide, teach and reveal future events (things that are to come). He helps
us to see as God sees and love as He loves. It is God working with us to will and to do of His good pleasure.
God’s nature is released to help us love people with all their shortcomings.
Now that He is come, it is up to us to learn how to rely upon Him. The power and the ability of the Spirit of
Truth seems so distant (far away), yet it is as close as the breath we breathe. Since He has been sent as a Helper,
we can ask Him to help.
“Lord teach me to walk, talk and live with you.” I believe that this is a good confession to make.
The last three months have passed so fast that I have to take time to savoir some of the great moments. There
were friends that I hadn’t seen in twenty years. The Associate Pastors David and Kathy Morris (Victory Fellowship
Church in Garner, NC) were youth pastors with me in Tulsa.
When I went back to West Virginia, I met and saw people I had not seen in 54 years. The three meetings were
good and the fellowship was quite revealing. This was a hometown reunion, not a high school reunion. There were
people that were older and younger than I. There was so much that I had forgotten and I learned equally as much.
This was my first time attending. It was a refreshing experience.
In His love,
George Moss
