Dear Partner,
II Timothy 3:1 "This know also, that in the last days perilous times
shall come."
II Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but
of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
These are perilous times in which we are now living. One thing remains constant,
Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." The
primary purpose of the devil and those who serve him is to bring dishonor to the God of
Israel and Jesus Christ, His son. They use fear and intimidation. If they cause you
to change your normal Christian lifestyle, they succeed.
However, we can abort their plans by choosing to walk in love with one another and
praying for the unity of the body of Christ.
Ephesians 3:14-21 "14For this cause I bow my knees unto
the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15Of whom the whole family in heaven
and earth is named, 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of
his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That
Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length,
and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth
knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20Now unto
him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according
to the power that worketh in us, 21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ
Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."
Ephesians 4:11-16 "11And he gave some, apostles; and some,
prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the
perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body
of Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge
of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ: 14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro,
and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15But speaking the truth
in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint
supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh
increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."
During the first Gulf war, prayer was made by the Church. It literally affected
the whole world. The Church was in unity through prayer. Our soldiers were protected.
The God of Israel was honored. We received the victory.
I John 4:4 "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:
because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
Hebrews 13:5b-6 "5 …for he hath said, I will never leave
thee, nor forsake thee. 6So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper,
and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."
Since he promised never to leave or forsake us, we can stand on that promise. Since
we know that He is faithful to his Word, we can be sure that whatever we ask we receive
of him; because we do those things which are pleasing in his sight. Peace is the end
result of knowing that all is right with him.
I love you,
George Moss
