Dear Partner,
Proverbs 3:5-6
“5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 [Amp]
“5Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on
your own insight or understanding. 6In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will
direct and make straight and plain your paths.”
Psalms 125:1
“They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.”
How do we learn to trust the Lord? We decide that the Bible is the inspired word of God. It is our guide for
living as God, through Jesus Christ, would have us live. As the TV has a guide to indicate what is on each channel
daily or for a month, so also does the Bible have a promise for all of life’s situations. III John 2 “Beloved,
I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” These
promises can keep us healthy, wealthy and wise through continuous use.
There are times when we cannot find a specific promise or the answer seems vague. Romans 8:16 “The Spirit
itself (Himself – He is a person – the third person of the Godhead) beareth witness with our spirit, that
we are the children of God:” After prayer, reading and studying the word (Bible), sometimes you will still
not have a definite answer. The inner witness can now be trusted. It is a knowing in your spirit that THIS
is right or true. The promise of God’s word and the inner witness are two different things, but they never
contradict each other. Both are vital in our walk with God. Colossians 3:15 “And let the peace of God rule in
your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” The word rule means to umpire.
It will umpire as in baseball. The umpire determines if a player sliding into home plate is safe or out; he
determines if a ball hit down the line is in play or out of play. In the same way your spirit will, with the peace
of God, determine your action or direction. Peace – safe passage, no peace – no passage. In all our ways, we
should acknowledge (rely on and trust) Him.

p.s. There were so many creative miracles at Believer’s Christian Fellowship that I could not do justice to them
by trying to put them into this letter. I’ll put them all out together at a later time. The Lord is good and His
mercy endures forever.
