Dear Partner,

Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Thanksgiving just passed. Happy Thanksgiving! Christmas is near. Merry Christmas! The new year follows on the heels thereof. Happy New Year!

This is a wonderful time of the year. This is a time when emotions are very high or very low. It could depend on whether you have family and friends or not. However, the common denominator is Jesus. He is the reason for the season. Psalms 145:9 “The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.”

Our fellowship with God can strengthen our relationship. It opens the door for us to learn to love. When, and as, we learn to love, we learn to live for Him. We begin by fellowship and by feeding on the word of God.

Colossians 3:12-17 12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

Psalm 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

Psalm 19:7-8,14 7The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”

Psalm 119:165 “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”

When we seek the kingdom of God, it is appropriate to include the word and the Spirit. They both assist us in living an overcoming life (life in the Spirit).

Romans 8:26-27 26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered 27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

Seeking God is a daily thing. It is a basic. We can set our love on Jesus as we fellowship, read our bibles and pray.

My heart has been excited as I am anticipating the soon revelation of the end-time power of God to all the world. I am looking for it to come through revival. In the meantime, we must keep our focus on Jesus.

In His love,

George Moss
