Dear Partner,

I John 4:7-21 “7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19We love him, because he first loved us. 20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”

The real source of love is God. He is residing in us. The aforementioned scriptures cite love several times which has to do with social or moral (Gr. Agapao) involvement. It gives reference to brotherly love (Gr. Phileo). However, verse 16 states that God is love. This love (Gr. Agape) is the ultimate. It is the essence of God. Whenever this love (agape) is expressed, it indicates God’s love.

Psalms 145:20 “The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

John 14:15 AMP “15If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.”

John 13:34-35 “34A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

After Jesus had lived with the disciples for a while, He knew that He had to give them a new commandment. The love that we develop for one another will assist us in serving one another. It also helps us to keep fear out of our lives.

Our character will be seen as the fruit of the Spirit is manifest more and more (Galatians 5:22,23). The love of God envelops all of the other fruit. It will be coming from the inside to the outside. I believe that the love, fellowship, word and worship will keep us prepared for this time in which we live.

On the 12th of August, the love of God and the anointing were greatly on display at Faith Family Church, Canton, Ohio. The people were hungry. The Spirit of God had liberty.

In His love,

George Moss
