Dear Partner,
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life."
We are now
in the beginning of the greatest move of God the world
has ever seen. It has begun with the movie The Passion
of the Christ. The devil tried to derail it before
it got to the theater screens. The whole episode came
about through the wisdom of God.
Who killed
Jesus? The princes of this world influenced Judas, the
Jews and the Romans to actually kill Him (I Corinthians
2:8). However, the hidden wisdom of God had already
foreseen what was to come before the foundation of the
world (I Corinthians 2:6-7).
Since the
movie was done in Aramaic and Greek, more nations (ethnic
groups) can be reached. I have one friend who gave tickets
to an Islamic couple. They went and appreciated what
they saw. The husband stated to the wife that he was
going with Jesus. The wife gave mutual consent. My friend
was collecting books for their spiritual enlightenment
and growth when I saw her.
Jesus ratified
our covenant with God when He was sacrificed. It meant
that nothing would be exclusively ours again after entering
the blood covenant. All of my possessions, all that
I would ever possess and all that I am becomes equal
property with my covenant partner. He gave me His authority
(Matthew 28:18-20), His name (John 14:13-14) and His
armor and weapons (Ephesians 6:10-17).
Jesus was
the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. God
sent Him to give His life. This was all a part of God's
redemptive plan for man. Hidden wisdom which God ordained
before the world unto our glory.
I thank
God that it was not the end when Jesus went to the Cross.
This was part of the process. He died, was buried and
is risen from the dead (John 2:22, Matthew 28:1-8).
Each Spring, we have a celebration commemorating his
resurrection. It is called Easter. Jesus overcame death,
hell and the grave. He is seated at the Father's right
hand in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:13-23).
Happy
Easter!
